Logo and Website for Specialized Full Stack Developer

Logo design and web-redesign for Bilal Isa, a Full Stack Developer with a degree in advanced Computer Science. Bilal contacted me to design a logo and favicon for his website, where he offers his freelance services.

Logo & Concept

Logo & Concept

The logo is based on the appearance of Windows Command Prompt and programming syntax. The logo references the features by using a monospaced sans serif typeface that was originally designed to be used in coding environments and the inclusion of an underscore. The favicon and logo shows how characters look when selected in the Prompt environment.

Web re-design

Web re-design

The redesign process consisted of the replacement of Bilal’s previous stock images. The new images are stock vectors that were visually related to programming and his experience with different customers. The idea of using stock vectors came from the opportunity to later edit these illustrations to generate a more unified visual style in the future.

Additionally, I provided suggestions on layout and display. Some of them were implemented in the final website.

The design process consisted of conversations that led to conceptualization. Followed by vectorial logo proposals in the colors that Bilal suggested. We reached a consensus in terms of concept and chromatic palette, changing his previous palette, which was predominantly green, white, and black. The logo currently in use is grey. Below are the initial color palette, different logo versions and favicons.
